Well so far I am having an AMAZING halloween season. Which is the opposite of how october usually is for me. I went for a long time with very few friends and i haven't actually dressed up or been to a halloween party in ... years.
This year is SO different. I went to a fucking awesome party at my friend Heathers place. I posted all the pictures i have from it in my pics so go check them out. I had as you probably saw in my last blog a kick ass costume. A nice rockabilly zombie costume that everyone loves. I won for scariest at the party.
Then this past weekend me and begotten went to go see a fucking awesome show at THE NOTE. It was a Psychobilly line up consisting of The Gravetones, my personal faves THE MASSACRES, Audio Violence, and scissors. I'm friends with the lead singer, Hoagy, of The massacres so i knew i would love the show. I've seen them play at least a dozen times. I found out that Hoag's girlfriend is pregnant. I'm so happy for them. He's gonna have a baby boy and i know its gonna be a good lookin baby. It was good to see both of them and the rest of the band cause with moving back and forth and life in general i had lost contact.it actually turns out that she got pregnant right around the time i left. I guess when i left they decided that they needed to replace me lol. She's 6 months pregnant and she carries it well.
The whole show was fuckig awesome. The opening band the scissors were good and Audio Slave kicked ass. The MASSACRES rocked the fucking roof off. I of course was front row. They actually were in danger of starting late cause their guitar player MickeyTcraft had gone to the Tiger Army show that day and cut it close. lol But Mickey is a good guy i knew he would make it. Hoagy dedicated Stitches to his soon to be mommy girlfriend Diana and i got video of not only the dedication but the whole song. they closed with SOMEBODY'S GONNA GET THEIR HEAD KICKED IN TONIGHT and the whole place got into it.
Then The Gravetones came on stage and of course With a lead singer like SCARY LARRY (who EVERYONE in the midwest psychobilly/rockabilly scene knows) and the fact that it is their 10th anniversary show i knew they would bring their A game. I haven't seen them play in AGES but i loved them. They have a great stage presence with stage props and all. I actually got on stage with a few other people and helped them to sing their song RON JEREMY.
Also in the tradition of punk rock shows. When you want free stuff what do you say? FREE SHIT FREE SHIT! and we did and i got some free shit.
i got a shirt and soem halloween toys lol and EVERYONE got a free 3 song CD of songs they cover like TIME WARP from RHPC... and if you dont know what that stands for ... sad you.
well thats the major part of it.
the only bad thing is my money is pretty much gone. I don't have a job yet but I'm waiting right now for R0nin to give me a call cause hopefully he will have a job if only for a while for me.
