Last week I paid 24 bucks for a carton of ciggies, as I have for the past few years at the same store.
Today, I was blown away when he told me the new cig tax went up 1.20 per pack...that made my carton freakin 36 bucks!!! I can't believe I used to buy a pack of cigs after school, with my lunch money, for $.75/pk. They really really really really really really...well, you get the picture...want people to quit smoking don't they? Well, unless tobacco gets banned & all of us smokers have to buy them underground, I'm still gonna buy them you jerks!!!
