between 1 and 2 lbs away from my first weight loss goal.
I have a long way to go, but this will be a good first goal. It will be the lightest ive weighed in about a year and a half or so.
I've been using an iphone app called My Fitness Partner. It starts by asking you your age, height, and current weight, and then asks what your weight goal is, then it provides you with a budget for how many calories you can take in everyday. Then each day, you log everything you eat. It has a HUGE database of food to search, and it has the calories, grams of fat/saturated fat/sodium/carbs etc. And it has a bar code scanner, so i can just scan a store bought item, and it will pul up the info for me. You can also log exercise, and it will tell you how many calories you probably burned.
Then at the end of the day, you close your daily journal, and it says something like "if every day was like today, you would weigh 'x-amount' of lbs in 5 weeks.
So, ive gone over my calorie budget a few times, but only by a couple hundred calories at most. But mostly, ive been able to stay below the budget, and so far ive managed to lose about 4 or 5 lbs (i tend to fluctuate a lb or 2).
And im going to buy some clothes for exercising in, because i just dont have any right now. So i'm really going to make 2012 the year i start working on bettering myself. So far, not a huge leap, but a step is a step.
I hope everythign is going well with you all
