My dad called me today to tell me I should go over to their house to say goodbye to one of our cats. Well, our last cat, really. Our other one died a few years ago.

She's had a weird last couple of years. She gets really skinny and weak looking then suddenly makes a recovery and gets healthier. But this time it's different. I went over there, and she's really wobbly when she walks, and she can't jump up to where her food is, so they have to pick her up to set her by her food. (her food is elevated so the dog doesn't steal it). She wont leave the small area of the living room where she is. I don't expect her to last more than a couple of days at the most. I'm just happy that she doesn't seem to be in pain or suffering. I think when the time comes, she's gonna go peacefully of old age

She's about 18 years old now, so she's had a good life. She's the type who is timid and afraid of everyone she doesn't know, but once she knows you, she purrs non stop. When I saw her today, she seemed very happy to see me. Weak, but she was still purring and rubbing her face on my hands when I pet her
