Such an exhausting weekend
7AM to 3:30PM
Work sucked. I do paperwork all day, auditing paperwork from other departments from the previous day. and because of the busy weekend, of course the paperwork was a mess
3:45PM
On saturday, on the way home from work, i passed by a really bad accident. The car involved (i only saw one, but the other may have gone over the hillside) was completely flipped over and very close to a hillside with a steep drop. I didnt see the driver, but hopefully he/she was ok. The road is a narrow windy road out int he middle of nowhere, so when there are accidents, it usually means traffic will be sitting for a while. Well, when i got there, they were already directing traffic and letting people through. But they were still picking up pieces of metal from the road... i dont know why they didnt wait, because...
4:00PM
I must have ran over soemthing, because no more than 5 minutes later, i got a flat tire. I work out in the middle of nowwhere, so when i called AT&T's roadside assistance, they told me they would have to call me back when they found a tow truck to come put my spare on, which is covered by the roadside asst.
4:30PM
They called me back saying they were still looking, and would call me back
5:00PM
They called back saying they couldnt find anyone to go out there, so they called California Highway Patrol, who was going to send someone out, but it wouldnt be covered, and i would have to pay for it. Not having the money to pay for it, i told them nevermind, i'll figure something else out. So i called my mom, who has AAA (i really should get AAA myself...) to come out and help me
5:30PM
My mom gets there, i call AAA, and they say they'll call me back when they find someone.
5:45PM
They called me back and said someone is on their way
6:45PM
Guy finally shows up, gives me a hard time because of where i had to pull over didnt leave him much room to work in. Again, this is a narrow road in the middle of nowhere, with few spots to pull over. Where I sat, i was within a foot of being hit by passing vehicles. I had nowhere else to go. Anyways, he put the spare on. It's a donut
7:15PM
Got back to my city that i live in, and guess what? The donut went flat
So i called my roadside assistance again and they again told me they'd call back when they find someone to tow my car to my parents house (i took it there so i could borrow their truck so i could get to work the next day)
7:30PM
They find someone, and say it'll be less than 50 minutes
8:40PM
I call them back and ask them whats going on, its been more than an hour. They say he's minutes away at the moment
8:50PM
He shows up, we get my car up onto his bed, and he takes me to my parents house.
9:00PM
My piece of shit car wouldnt go into nuetral for some reason, and the batery died, so we couldnt get it off the bed of his truck. So we try to jump my car, but oh, guess what, the geniuses who designed my car decided that the best place for the battery was in the damn trunk. So the cables didnt reach. So i had to move some cars around to get my moms car close to my trunk. Well, we got the cables hooked up, but the jump wasnt working for soem reason... but we somehow got it to go into neutral. So we got the damn thing off his truck.
9:30PM
So after he leaves, i didnt want to go anywhere, because my car was stuck with no power, and the drivers side window was down. So i had to wait for my dad to come home from work to help me figure out why the jump didnt work
11:00PM
Dad gets home, and we manage to get the jump to work. There was a problem with the grounding
11:30PM
My dad wont let me take his truck until he puts gas in it. I dont know why he didnt just give me some cash to go put gas in it, but whatever, my dad is weird like that. So i wait until he gets back before i can finally go home.
12:00AM
FINALLY HOME. Keep in mind that because of how early i have to wake up to get to work, i usually go to sleep around 9PM. I am exhausted
Sunday:
7AM to 8PM
Again, because of the busy holiday weekend, the paperwork was a fucking mess, which took me a few hours longer than usual to complete. Then i had a bunch of things that my boss left for me to do before today, so i had to work 5 hours of overtime to do it... The kicker is that because they count overtime as more than 40 hours in a week, not more than 8 hours in the day, that 5 hours didnt put me over the 40 hours. So i dont get my time and a half for it.
Thankfully, my boss let me take the day off today to get my tires replaced (my dad got them replaced yesterday while i was at work SHHHH)
