trying to get myself motivated in life again. starting with simple activities i used to love when i was younger. mainly drawing. i used to draw every single day, sometimes for hours. but as ive gotten older, and started sinking into my rut, its been less and less

One of the problems with motivating myself, is that i never know what i want to draw, and if i try to draw soemthing from my imagination, i get frustrated because it doesnt come out the way i imagined it. So, i just threw out my imagination (for the time being), and i'm not choosing what i'm drawing right now. It's random, i dont know what im going to draw until i draw it.

I have this app on my iphone called Photoswap. Its a fun little program that lets you take a photo, and send it off to some random person, and then you get a random pic from some other random person. If you like, you can reply to their photo with another photo you take, and you can sorta "chat" back and forth using photos. or, you can move on to some other random person.

So i started writing on a piece of paper "I want to draw something! Send me a pic!", and when they send me something, i draw it, and take a pic of it and send it back. So trying to think of something to draw is out the window, and on top of that, i usually get a reply back with a thumbs up, or something, the random person telling me they like my drawing. So there you go. Motivation.
