I start my job on Monday. when you apply for a casino, especially for a high-sensitive area, the process with the gaming commission usualy takes a little over a month.
I did my application with the gaming commission on Monday, had my interview with them on Wednesday, and they called me on Thursday to tell me i start orientation next Monday. Less than a week. finally something goes smoothly. Just in time too. My severance pay from my last job is almost run out, and my unemployment just BARELY covers my expenses... but my car died. So now I have to buy a new car.
So, being able to start work much earlier than i anticipated is a HUGE blessing. I was going to have to try and finance a new car with barely anything for the down payment. Now i can wait for my first check so that I can have a little more. I'm borrowing my parents car in the meantime. and wow... I hate their car. It's a Saturn Ion, and I dont know if any of you have ever driven one, but when you are over 6' tall, and a pretty big guy on top of that, there is NO legroom in that car. I'm gonna have a 45 minute drive to work for a couple weeks, with leg cramps aplenty.
But, I'm not letting it spoil this. Something good is happening out of this mess finally
