So last night i tried absinthe for the first time. Now, it's the U.S. legal kind, so it's not true absinthe, but it didnt matter. It was just cool to pick up a bottle that said absinthe lol
The store we were at when i found it was sold out of the full size bottles, so i bought 2 mini bar bottles for like $15 total, so not too bad. The full size bottle goes for like $60 i think.
Despite it not being true absinthe, since it doesnt have the wormwood they use in europe (it has a different wormwood that's legal in the U.S.), i gotta tell you, at 110proof, this shit gives u a GOOD fucking buzz. I only had one shot, and i was feeling pretty damn good.
The shot itself, even poured over a sugar cube (as recommended), was HORRIBLE. omfg the taste was not great, and it was probably the strongest shot i've had in a long time. So it hit me pretty good.
Unfortunately, we only had the 2 bottles, and there were 4 of us, so only 1 shot each, but still, it was enough.
I would recommend it
especially if u drink it out of an old school mcdonalds Garfield glass

When I was a kid I had a lot of Happy Meal toys. Over a hundred. Back in the days when they were a lot cooler than they are now. Probably should have kept them. Could've sold them on ebay.
