what a weekend, but at least it's over and i get to play snowed in. i've got between 3 and 4 feet depending on where you stand. so my cat had disapeared and then she came back, with a dislocated hip, but she came back. the soonest i could get in to a vet (other that one who wanted to charge me $150 just to look at her) was monday at one. so i wake up and theres a good 6 inches of snow, so my mission is to get to the vet drop off an app at this bar pick up my little bro and get home before sundown... yea fuckin right. so the vet takes till 4 and i was suposed to drop the app off by 4, shit. drop ofapp at 4:30, takes me almost an hour and a half to drive from down town to the heights to get my bro, just gotta stop for milk and smokes and we're off to the mountains. get to tramway and central to find out I40 is closed so we start to take 66, trafic jam, by the time we got half a mile from where we stopped the sun was sayin good bye so we turned around and found a place to crash. so today we get the word that they plowed are road so were off. we get to the canyon and I40 is still closed but there lettin people with a mountain address on there ids take 66, no prob. roads are smooth no probs at all until we go under the last bridge when suddenly this tittle wave of snow comes flying out from above! i take my foot off the brake and try not to loose control and as my wipers slowly clear away the snow i can see that the the wind shield is broken, and the truck in front of me i almost hit. as we turn to look behind us we see another plow truck go by sending another wave of snow down that barely missed us and the truck, holly shit feel lucky to be alive now here comes the hard part, my crazy road. (this is why i bought a blazer but it figures the one time i need it its in the shop) so the rental didn't do to bad but then we get to are driveway to see the lovely snow bank the plow left us, theres not enough room to park in the road, it's barley wide enough as it is, so i back up a ways and go for it! we made it into the driveway, the entire front of the car was burried but it was out of the way. so we go to get out and da... we cant open the doors, my 6 foot 2 little bro had to climb out the window and walk around in waist deep snow and help me get my self and my poor cat (whom has been freakin out for over 24 hours now) out of the car. wow i'm glad to be home!
