I almost died today.

Fucking hell im shaken up like crazy.

I posted about that girl who got hit by the bus, then afterwards when i was out I saw another crime scene where someone had fallen off off a building and theres blood all over the road..

After all this and riding (my bicycle) around on the fuking sydney roads with the fuking idiotic sydney drivers... Im heading up oxford st and some stupid woman opens her door without looking..

My decision in that micro second? either hit the car and take it, or dive into a lane of moving traffic..

mmm, i take the hit on my neck and head, flip over the car door and land head first on the road.. I scamper to the gutter and the crowd gathers. I dont feel rage r hate for the stupid woman, Im scared shitless that ive broken my neck, its throbbing, my ankle is bleeding and everything is fuzzy. some junkie is telling me hes a first aid and the woman is saying, over and over, im sorry, im soo sorry. Doesnt fukin help lady if i become a paraplegic now does it.

So the paramedics come, chek me out and take me to the hospital, i hang around there for a while, get a few pokes and needes and now im at home on some epic painkillers trying to pack my gear as Im going overseas for work tomorrow morning..

Its bizarre, Ive been riding bikes for years, and this crash has me wanting to cower in a corner because i know now, that this we take for granted, so fragile. Fuking hell, it couldve gone either way..
