For some reason the studio heads decided we should have an intranet. They decided I would be the perfect person to take care of it. (Yes, we have an IS department). My computer was not up to the task. I got a new one and it KICKS TOTAL ASS! It's second hand from our flash production (from the "foster home" per se) and DUDE! They left all the programs on it. I even have aftereffects without having to switch to another system. It's like they took away my toy poodle and gave me godzilla. GO GO Godzilla!
The Kimba thing...was scary. Let us not speak of it again.
My mentoring thing is going pretty well. I took my guy a bunch of different sketching pencils and his eyes just about popped out of his head. Then, instead of me drawing for him, I watched as he drew for me. He was like, "You're coming back, right? When are you coming back?!" Hee. He's a little trouble maker, tho. He has to write "I will be respondsible" 20 times since he forgot his homework twice...this week. Yep, well have to talk about that in the coming weeks if it keeps up. It's part of the program. He's a good kid and I'm glad he's warming up to me.
This morning I'm going to Gencon which is a gaming convention here in socal. I'm not going to stay all day, since I have a lock and key thing tonight.
