All I can say is....fuck.
33 dead, 300 injured, and most of the injured are missing some limbs. It's weird not to be in Chicago right now. If anything happens there I will freak out.
Two of my best friends and their two gorgeous little daughters JUST MOVED to England. They sent me an email saying they arrived safely just a few days ago. And even though I don't think they're in London I worry about them.
I was just in London in March. So it's a little weird when they show the maps on the news. I've never been to Washington, DC or Spain and I went to the World Trade Center once, when I was a little kid, so those really didn't hit home, they were more or less just remote places. But this...
And in a way I think it's a bit "too little too late." They're beefing up the transit security NOW, after the deed is already done. Some higher up should've thought, "Oh, G8 Summit, we need to heighten security" and if they had thought that, maybe people wouldn't be dead.
Fuck. I'm as religiously tolerant as the next person, but can't we just bomb all of the Muslim Fundamentalists into the ground? puke

Curi.

i agree with bombing those cock-a-roaches! they are not even a good representation of the Muslim faith. we should stick the Christian child raping priests over there with them before we drop the big one!
im not a conspiracy expert, but part of me wonders if all of this is part of the set up for the new world order thats inevitably coming, so we all accept it with open arms to feel "safe".

Interestingly enough, being in England at the moment, I've found that most British people aren't even thinking of retaliation. I was initially shocked at this, before someone (kindly) pointed out to me that it's mostly a very American notion to seek retaliatory strikes after these sorts of things. I'm just chalking this one up to being another little difference between the cultures that you normally wouldn't think of.
