My good friend Patti is leaving for Japan on Thursday, and I'm holding a going away party for her at Skylark. It's gonna start around 8pm. YOU ALL MUST COME. It's at 2149 S. Halsted, you just take the #8 Halsted bus. Patti's never been to Japan before, and it's been a lifelong dream of hers. She'll be there for 2 weeks.
I am also preparing for my Japan trip. I got my JR Rail Pass, which is like a Eurailpass except for Japan. It's only good for the first 21 days I'm there, but that's better than nothing. I think I'm gonna go make some kakigori now.
