After some encouragement from Patti, I posted a personals ad on Craig's List. No, you can't find it.
So, went on a date Sunday night. It wasn't great, wasn't awful. Damn, I hope he's not reading this. It's just that we went to a movie (he paid), and then went for Korean food (we split the bill), and had a lovely time, but there wasn't that X Factor that makes dating enjoyable. It was conspicuous only through it's absence. We would make great friends, but that's about it. I think he realizes this too.
I am so sick of dating. I should probably quit cold turkey until I get to Japan. The only thing about that is, somehow I have been cursed with meeting and relating with the one Japanese guy in Chicago who....[expletives deleted for the sake of Buddha]. If I had a positive attitude, I would say, "Well Curi, you've gotten one asshole out of the way, which means the rest won't be all that bad." But no. I don't have a positive attitude, so I say, "Well Curi, that's one asshole down. Just wait until you figure out what the rest of them are capable of....it'll make this guy look like marriage material."
So I do what I always do when I feel like this...play Final Fantasy XI. My character has gone up 3 levels in 2 days. (Not an easy task.)
Today's crush is Chara. I'm listening to her now. Even though she can't always do it, she tries her best to make me smile.



And she married the Japanese equivalent of Johnny Depp, and named their daughter Sumire, which has to count for something.
