Yesterday was a Shibuya day. We went to the Morning Musume museum, and Junior Station, and Ariel and I wept openly at the sight of gorgeous jewelry and clothes that we will probably never fit into. Curse our voluptuous American body types.
We went to Closet Child and I bought a skull ring and a hat which is essentially the stuffed animal head of a rabbit. Then we ate at MosBurger for breakfast. I will be a millionaire if I can discover a way to export Mos Chicken and their hot mustard.
At Junior Station I bought a Super Lovers backpack. The artist is the same guy that does Super Milk Chan. We then walked around he 109 until we had our fill of snotty Kogals. I was wearing a hat with bear ears on it, so many of the girls were giggling at us. We took Purikura about 50 times (well, three times so far). Our goal is Purikura every day. At Tra La La Liz Lisa we both bought Lucky Bags, which are grab bags full of clothes for cheap, and discovered in the hotel room, to our chagrin, than none of them fit us.
We went to a tiny store which has nothing but capsule toy machines. I put my money in and received...an onion. I hate onions, so I tried again, and received...another onion. Sigh.
We went to a kickass store called Three Minutes Happiness and I bought a small pair of speakers so we can listen to music in our room. We also had Korean barbecue for the second time in a row, then I bought oranges.
I got us going completely the wrong direction on the train, so it took us forever to get back to Shinjuku. We went to Tokyu Hands and bought adorable Mean Girls-type Santa oufits. We're pondering wearing them to the Amuro Namie concert tomorrow.
So then we stocked up on snacks at the convini, with all intentions of going out, but we were exhausted and the call of internet videos and sleep was stronger than our desire for booze.
Today we have Roppongi and Akihabara planned. Tokyo Tower, bitches.
Curi.
