Wow. It has been a long time since I visited the site here. Anyway, for those who might look in now and again, thanks and I hope you are all well.

I'm kind of drowning in a mess of my own making out here. I did take the plunge and I'm throwing all of my effort into a new academic program that should carry my life in an entirely new direction. Provided, that is, that my ship does not sink before it is even properly launched.

We have a new pet in the house: a Mac Mini. It's pretty sweet and, unlike the cats, does not foul a litter box. But then, it also does not climb up onto my chair and headbutt me with a little fuzzy poll as does my calico. Though, come to think of it, I am glad of that. The day Jobs comes out with a computer that will headbutt you... I hope that day never comes....
