Today was another day of class and work. Sooo much to read! My cats tried to help by taking turns standing on the book I was trying to read. Bless them- they do try.
Had a funny moment last week- got up early in the morning and left the house BUT, by mistake, locked my significant other in the bedroom! I just hooked the latch on the door (designed to keep the cats from destroying the comforter) and left the house. Hours later I get a call asking me to please come back and release the prisoner. Honestly, it was a mistake..!

My cats try to help me do homework too... mostly by laying on notebooks or journal articles I am trying to read. They also nap on the piles of readers, notebooks, and books I have at the bottom of my couch. Last fall I had the Marx-Engels reader sitting on my couch for a class and one of my cats kept shoving it off the couch onto the floor... he must've realized I hated that fucking book - what a good kitty!
Anyway... I am getting my PhD in Sociology. I'm in my 2nd year now - trying to be more motivated than last year. My research is on various aspects of body modification.
