i have decided that by the next presidential election if we do not have a democrat in office joe and i will leaving the country. i have this nightmare that we will be living under a dictatorship that will be ultra right-wing. my mom lived under the power of a dictator that was later shot by his chauffeur. there is a song about it and when other dominicans hear it they begin to cheer; it's really quite funny. i tell joe that i want to camp out on the white house lawn and run through the kennedy rose garden naked.

i'm not living in a country where innocent people cannot get married and where you have to drive 60 miles to get your script for birth control filled.
