As they say in the Army I have 8 and a wake up and I am out of there. I had some help yesterday getting my stuff together, and my friend is due here shortly to help some more. I already tossed a printer, scanner and mouse, the printer actually works. But more than that I am tossing a lot of business records I no longer need, old photos of friends that I no longer have contact with. I save some that remind me of good times but for the most part they are on the way to the dumpster.
I have a full week ahead of me. I have to get my car smogged. Normally that is go over to the smog station pay your bucks and drive away. Well my catalytic converter is shot, and still under warranty. Ford ordered one for me in May and it still is on back order. I have to get the car smogged and registered before I leave, as the day I leave my plates run out. I have been busting Fords ass about it to no end.
I also have some loose ends to tie up on a personal level. I have some good byes to say, one to B at Hooters and one at Big Dogs. The Big Dogs one is going to be a liquid one that is long overdue.
It looks like it is going to rain here in Vegas, it is darn and only 3:15. I bet if freakng pours right around the time my friend shows up so no trips to the dumpster will occur. I am going to be done by midnight next Sunday, so that Monday I can pack my office and ship what I need there, Tuesday the movers come, I will take a computer, printer and laptop, some clothes, a TV and as much of my inventory as I can fit in the trunk which should be all of it.
I have to meet the cable guy at my new apartment at 3PM on Wednesday. The phone will be already installed and hopefully the dsl kit will be waiting for me at the office. If I have to do dial up I will think about cutting my wrists.
OH well back to sorting and packing.
