Sometimes it doesn't pay to get up, sometimes it doesn't pay to go to work, and yesterday it didn't pay to come home.
The day started off OK, no big check (no surprise, have to call him to find out where it is), mediocre breakfast, got to the office quite early and got done with all I was going to do early. The guy I rent office space came in, we chatted and around 3 went to Hooters. While I was there one girl was primping at the full length mirror (she is not a waitress but a hostess dressed as a waitress for a promo event). She pulled the top, the shorts, up and down, and finally almost dropped the completely to put the shirt in, I was 5 feet away looking right at her optic orange thong, front view, she saw me and said nothing. Hey I got wings and entertainment, what a place.
Then I went home. It was 116 here in Vegas yesterday, and while it is only a 50 yard walk or less to the apartment, when you open the door to the 85 degree air(i turn it down during the day), it feels like heaven for at least an hour. I opened the door and thought I had opened a pizza oven. The power to all the air conditioning units was off, off since 11 AM. I went inside and called the power company and got a recorded message. I did some work, drank plenty of liquids, my tv croaked again (has a bad power supply), drank more liquids, called the power company again. At 10:15 is was still 115 in the apartment, I said screw this and went to a motel. I walked in the room and it was 68, I could feel the pores snapping shut. I thought I was in a freezer, it was still 105 outside at that time. Vegas broke a few records, the most consecutive days over 115-4, the most days over 112 in a month, and the highest overnight temperature 92. Boy I can't wait to get out of here.
