I was thinking about choices. Walt Whitman wrote a poem called I think The Road not Taken, and if that is not the correct title, you get the picture.
I have been thinking about some of the choices I have made and which ones I would have changed in hindsight.
I would have stayed at one job I left years ago and would be a lot better off financially.
I would have passed up on a relationship that almost bankrupted me. And I would have taken a few other opportunities that were offered.
Am I unhappy, today, yes. I have a friend who is having issues and that worries me. I have a big trade show this weekend and I am waiting for a shipment that can make or break the show for me. I know it will show up late on Thursday and I will end up working late to get it done, I ordered it last week to be sure to get it early in the week, but the as they say the best laid plans.

As long as you don't live in regret you'll be happy. I don't think anyone should regret the choices they've made. It's only what made you what a great person you are today. You learn so much by the choices you make, and it makes you appreciate certain situations more. I sometimes think, "oh, I should have done this" or "wow, that was really stupid, what was i thinking?" But then I think to myself, "If I didn't do that, would I be where I am today?" or "At least I know for next time..."
There will always be two paths. No matter which one you choose, in the end, things will work out. If you don't take a certain opportunity, it's not the end of the world, and it's not like you can't do anything about it in the future.
Grasp hold of today because it's all you have.
And if you ever say the words, "I regret..." I'll have to slap you. wink
