How to win friends and influence people? I was going to the post office a little while ago and saw that a few men had set up some tables with political slogans and demanding removal of certain people in our government. They had some set up on a table and one guy had a sign at the entrance of the post office, something banned by law. I mentioned it to a postal clerk and the police had already been called.
As I left I saw no one was near the table which was on the sidewalk near the curb. I went and took the sign and table and put it in the back of my car. The police showed up and the one guy came over and started to yell at me and demand I give him his table back. A policeman came over and asked what the trouble was, I said that he had put the table out on trash day and I was picking up the unwanted item rather than have it go to the dump. The guy was screaming and the cop said, that I was correct. Since it was on city property and abandoned it was anyones to take if they want.
I threw the sign away, but kept the nice table, am going to use it in the business.
The moral of the story is protest all you want, do it legally and not on government property.
