I was out getting some pizza this morning and when I arrived did not see the normal crowd on a Sunday. At the time I go there right before noon, there are normally at least 2 state police cars there. The owner charges them 5 bucks for whatever they eat, and in the 34 years he has been there has never been robbed. I guess with cops from all around coming in there all day long it might just be a deterrent. This cop was young and gave me an update on the roads. We had an ice storm overnight and by noon most of the roads were just wet with patchy ice on some of the less used ones.
We were supposed to get some wintery mix off and on all day long but it is sunny and windy. All the roads are dry and my friend should be coming shortly.
I was channel surfing and found that a woman named Katherine Gun from the UK, leaked to the press there that NSA had requested their English counterparts to spy on members of the UN security council. She had a copy of the original memo request.
The Brits have a very nasty Official Secrets Act and were going to prosecute her but when asked for all the internal memos from the lawyer to the Prime Minister all charges were dropped. What is guessed is one of the memos suggested that gentlemen do not do that or something British.
She wrote a book and she was interviewed on a TV show.
I guess this was before the warrantless wiretaps that the Bush administration authorized.
Business sucks, I cannot find a job but life goes on.
