Lately things seemed to be turning around for me. I got out from behind a couple of big debts and was hoping to breathe a little easier in the coming weeks in my business, but then the government used the R word and sales stopped. Oh well, not like the people out here selling did not see a soft economy for a long while.
I do not know what is wrong with me. I am unable to get to bed at a normal time and am getting up late each morning. Now if I was busy doing the horizontal mombo or the like I would be smiling, but this shit is getting old.
On the other hand, a place where I started to go for dinner has a few really great girls there, and I love two of them to death. I go there every Friday and the last 3 weeks I got a survey for a free starter with my bill. I never had 2 in a row, but 3 is starting to make me think that maybe they are not as random as they say, but what the heck.
I am tired of the cold weather and said out loud that I am moving back to Vegas. I might just do it. I know where I can get a job that will pay me a decent wage, and I can do my on line business anywhere.
I am also thinking that I have some really good friends here but slowly some of them are drifting off the site. I wonder if SG has lost a little of the luster it once had.
I know for a long time the sets were below average and some of the sets they rejected were much better. They seem to have corrected that and the sets are good.
I just have to say that I have renamed paypal to payscum as no pal of mine would treat me like a criminal.

I still can't figure out why anybody would live in PA if they didn't have to, but I don't like the cold. Before you decide to move to Vegas, you might consider Austin. It's a very hip place...
I remember my first piece of equipment I was taught at the repair school, tubes, I remember them well.
Ah, so you'll appreciate the specs on this one: It's a single ended design using one 12AX7 and one EL84 (6BQ5), and it should put out somewhere around ten watts or so. I'm going for the low wattage to be able to push the amp into power tube saturation at a much lower volume. It's getting a 15" speaker in a big cabinet so it'll sound BIG. Check my previous journal entries for more boring details...

The first thing any good amp tech does upon opening up a tube amp chassis is to discharge the filter caps. As I'm sure you know, they can store enough of a charge to kill you quite dead even when the unit is unplugged...
