I am on hold. I have a potential to get out of my financial jam by remote control. I got some money from my expartner and some merchandise for the rest. If my buddy can sell the items before Saturday I will not have to go to the show 3 hours away to try to sell them. I asked my friend if she wanted to go to Baltimore with me for the day. Not that she has any interest in my business, but that part of it will be only an hour or two, but then we can spend time in the inner harbor, have a nice dinner and she can drive me home. I do not like driving long distances at night, am starting to get the beginnings of cataracts, so if someone else can drive that is better for me.
As for the elections, I was surprised that all the polls missed on how big some of the candidates would win by, off by 8 to 10 points, too low. I read an interview from former members of congress on why some of the local candidates lost. One was shocking, a Republican said the reason Rick Santorum won blew me away, he said it was his attitude toward the people and then backed it up with examples. I guess this guy felt he was bulletproof, voting 98% with the president, and was the only person from Congress to go to the Terry Schiavo funeral. He advocates banning of all forms of birth control including condoms. He also got credit for school tuition from the state and then homeschooled his kids pocketing the money. He is now unemployed.
The funny part of the whole thing is he did not even take his home county in the election.
