It has been strange here. The temperature was 20 degrees below normal and I am in an apartment complex with central heating. They did not turn on the heat until October 15, so for a few nights it was a little cool. I bought a small heater and that was just right to take the cold out of the sleeping area or where I was. It has a timer and I used it when I needed it and did not run it all day long.
I have no ambition today. I got up early and did a little work, but then felt the need to take a nap, and did, for almost an hour. I guess the many nights of poor sleeping were finally catching up with me.
I have to call someone to complete a deal. This has been dragging on far too long, and it is for a nice chunk of money. I need to just get this done so that I can stop some of my worries over cash flow. He comitted to this a few weeks ago, but now it is time.
I bought a new dvd player on Saturday. I needed one that play DVD's from the UK, as I have all 6 seasons of the series Lovejoy and they were never released over here. Yes there were a few tapes on VHS, but no DVD release. My old dvd player died. It was from Radio Shack, a Cyber Home and it played long and well. I looked online to see if they had anything and they had one for $70 by mail only. I figured lets go to the store and see what happens.
The manager there told me that a similar request had come in a few weeks ago and they tried everyone in the store to no sucess. But they had gotten a few new ones in and if I had a disc why not give it a try.
I brought a set in and the 2 new items he thought might work did not, but he did not give up. One from Sony acutally recognized it and said that it was the wrong format for this player. But then we tried one from LG and it played. I bought it. I read thru the manual and it did not say anywhere that it would do that. But what I think is that with all the memory they have they just put all the different programs there and let the player find the right one rather than make different ones for different parts of the world. Having one motherboard that is universal is so much easier to repair and stock.
My friend came over on Saturday and while she had seen a few Lovejoys on tape, she saw some of the later ones. She was not fully on board because since it is English English you have to pay attention a little more, after the second or third episode she saw what I meant, that the series was well done and that Lovejoy is a really likeable rogue.

i love sleeping for a long time.. especially if youve got no distraction, and are all warm and cozy.. my dog woke me up a thousand times to piss,.. then my parents dog kept scratching at my door in the morning.. which is unusual for him.. he must of really had to piss hahaha
