Hearing people you love getting yelled at is a difficult thing. Especially when there's really nothing that you can do about it. You can never force the hands of others.

Refusing to elaborate and switching topics, I think maybe there is a head that I am coming upon with regards to my crush-of-the-moment (see left-hand-panel) as to whether maybe there is mutual desire to think...

have you read House of Leaves before?

Long-distanceness can suck, but on the other hand it lets you know fairly quickly whether a relationship's meant to last or not. If you can stay together when you're not physically together, it's a good sign that the relationship's meant to be.

Crazy night last night.

I got pretty drunk, slightly high, which in-of-itself is pretty signifigant since I've only smoked marijuana once before in my life. I even briefly considered smoking my first nicotine-tar-cancer-causing cigarette, but wisely was advised and elected against it.

There was a slight orgy (three girls on one guy) which for better or worse didn't involve me, but I saw it forming...

It's 3:14 AM.

I don't know why I'm awake other than the fact that I love REM.

I went for a walk today.

An excercisish walk.

A habit that I'm going to get into. I'm far too lazy really. That's a bad thing.

I guess it's all part of my "revising life" plan. I guess that I always knew at some point in time I was going to have to try and actually switch off auto-pilot and live life.

Just was trying...

Metroid Prime is hard.
m1stab:
there may or may not be a "stranger in a strange land" movie from the seventies maybe. I seem to remember some discussion about it and how generally bad it was. I do know that there was talk in movie-type circles about making a new one, but that was in or around 1992, so it looks like a no-go. I think you're right about that, but it kind of degenerates into the typical heinlin slight misogynistic fantasy towards the end (i.e. sex cult.) It is a good read, but the first time i read it was, i think, too late in life (18) I wish i had read it earlier. oh well.

As for the other days: weed *is* good, and i may not know about metroid prime, but warcraft 3 is kind of dull.

btw. Tao te Ching and study Tai Ch'i. all you need for now.

Being broke isn't particularly fun.

I'm going to a wedding tommorow night.

I wish that I had a date to take, but I haven't really had a chance to get out much in the world of meeting people recently. Ties back to the being broke. And living where it's illegal to sell alcohol.

A Stranger in a Strange Land would make a pretty good movie....

Two books read in three days.

I better not start Gravity's Rainbow yet. It'd ruin my streak. smile

I suspect that I'm going to go back to the used book store tommorow to see if I can fish out anymore Phillip K. Dick.

I suspect I'll hunt for some Lethem too, and come up empty handed.

It's hard to find Lethem's books. I've only seen copies...
