Riding up the escalator today at the Powell St. BART station, I emerged to find thousands of people holding anti-war signs, chanting, and otherwise mourning Kerry's loss of the election.

They're children if they believe any of it will change a damn thing.

Halloween in the Castro was not quite the crazy adventure advertised, but there was much cleavage, a few outstandingly good costumes (including a functional water cooler), and many moments of crowds so monstorous and undulating as to make controlled movement a near impossibility, leaving one to flow where the bodies push.

Plus I had some nice Thai and the smile of a beautiful girl.
