OKay... My life just totally got put on hold for a few days.
Had a pretty interesting accident at work the other day. Out shoveling snow. Hit a big patch of ice just as I was getting done shoveling and getting ready to put the shovel away. I slipped and fell off the sidewalk, my right ankle completely snaps outward, and I sit out in the parking lot for like 20 minutes till somebody notices that I am there (From the motel next door), they run in the restaurant and get someone to help. and as they are doing that my friend Jason was taking out the garbage and happened to see me, so Tina (one of my good friends, who is a waitress there) goes to get my boss and between the 3 of them they get me in his office chair and into the restaurant.
They tell me at that point that I am employee of the month!
and they called an ambulance, so I get taken out by ambulance, in the ambulance they put an IV with a painkiller in it (Demerol or something like that) I won't use morphine as that is what my grandpa was on the night he died, Anyway, so they get me to the ER, and my husband gets there right around the same time. Thankfully. After some painful x-rays we find out that its not broken but is VERY BADLY sprained., so I get fitted with an air-cast, and crutches and a prescription of Hydrocodone (Generic Vicodin) and a note for me to be off work till the 31st.
So, being nearly immobile sucks, and my husband and son have been waiting on me constantly, something I have to get used to, none of us has gotten much sleep the last couple days. Well, I'm off for now... Will write again soon!
