Final Fantasy XII is amazing. The graphics will make you cream yourself whilst crying tears of joy and amazement. For fans of the series, though, you're going to have to get used to a new fight set-up, although to be honest, I have played neither the online FF game nor any of them past VIII. I've watched IX and X (1 &2), and they had the old turn-based fight set up. This is like turn-based in real-time, so it took some getting used to. The cinematics in the game, and the plot thus far, are well worth the work you'll put into the differences in the game. Also, for you Tactics fans out there, the game takes place in Ivalice, with some very cool character designs in the alternate races. I haven't had enough luck with it to be certain, but I think the battle tactics are much the same as Tactics, as well (hittin' it from behind does more damage than sides, but hittin' it from the side does more damage than from the front... that kinda thing). So if you're into artsy games, regardless of whether you like FF games, go buy this game and make someone else play it (single girls, if you do this, you will quickly find someone willing, but don't expect them to drop the controller to make out with/do you. Nerdy guys tend to have skewed priorities). If you're into the series, then you're already doomed to hopelessness as you wait in line to buy this game. And if you're into neither artsy games nor FF games, why in the hell did you bother to read this blog? I swear, some people are just idiots.
So I'm about to sign off so that I can get wrist-deep into the most beautiful game I've seen thus far this year. So there, nanny-nanny-boo-boo. And after this, yet another round of Pow Pow Footykick. See yous around.
