So not much has happened this week. I read a few good books, watched a few good movies, saw a few good people with uncurable and life altering diseases and decided I would actually enjoy owning the sound track to Man On Fire, and I rarely listen to something and decide I just have to own it.
In other news...
Memorial day is the worse and stupidest holiday, since it should be Armistice Day, to commemorate the war to end all wars, but instead we'll call it Memorial Day and glorify people who have chosen or not chosen as the case may be, to kill other people at the behest of government and generally fuck over other countries, i.e. Vietnam, Panama, Columbia, Iraq, Haiti, Somalia etc. Better yet, we'll glorify a way of life and the institutions, such as the CIA, FBI, Department of Defense (it used to more appropriately be called Dep. of WAR ((DOW, just like one of it's largest corporate allies)) who are intimately associated with suppression of democracy abroad and domestically.
In other news (II), I'm dissapointed I didn't go out to Shell Island this afternoon to look at girls in tiny bikinis....the afternoon is not over
Instead I went to a lecture on Medicare changes for this last year and the projections for November changes, which was incredibly interesting, but not erection inspiring, which draws me back to the issue of Florida beaches and bikinis.
I think I'm going to put on shorts and attempt to spend at least part of my afternoon enjoying the eye candy, and maybe talking to someone who it doesn't annoy about what the hell the government continues to do wrong in regards to healthcare.
I'll give a hint....I think it's morally wrong to allow poverty to be the determining factor in determining one's health and the price of one's experience within the american healthcare system (We are all aware that poor people pay more for medicine in this country, are we not? ) I wish you an anti-establishment good day on this most *patriotic* of holiday weekends.

What movies did you watch?
So you're moving up north, you mentioned? Bummer, because FL is the best place in the continental US. I think so anyway. But congratulations. I hope you feel like you're making a positive transition.
I just got a new tattoo. I'll be posting new pics in a litle while.
