In an effort of self renewal perhaps, or cuz I just love sunrises....we cruised to Baltimore at 3 AM today and climbed Federal Hill, overlooking the inner harbor to watch the day begin.
Not as breathtaking as when we chased the dawn in Shenandoah National Park, or Montauk Point, but lovely nonetheless

I tell ya, there's nothing that brings a sense of calm over me than seeing the sky lighten in the distant East, hearing the birds begin their morning wake up warbles, and sharing it with loved ones. Then I can almost feel the pressure of papa Sol as he begins his inevitable and timeless march across the sky.
Driving distances while exhausted can be harrowing at times, but the odd conversations, spiked with maniacal, over-tired, and hysterical laughter is also pretty soul purging.
Now, I'm sitting here, swapping files back and forth with a musician bud of mine on a track we're collaborating on, and I feel my eyelids drooping. But I'm a trooper. I'm staying up till it's bed time, or I'll fuck myself up for work tomorrow.
