part II
...where was I....
right. ROS-- pagans in the woods= good. Blackflies = bad!!! had an awesome time with people, some of whom i only get to see at this event. My friend came from MI to visit and we had a great time with my partner taking mushrooms. It was only the third time for me - and, as before, I took much less than my much more experienced friends, but it was very pleasant and we still have leftovers. busrides in the woods are fun! I just want to sit on a rock and look at everything-- and I want to ouch everything-- the air, the wind, words as people speak.....
coming home to a whirlwind week of cleaning, unpacking, laundry and repacking.. plus getting my garden all in and taken care of was hard. All I really want to do after a week in the woods is sleep. But i got it all done. my garden looks great. Morning gloreis and sunflowers ,as per usual-- plus marigolds which are my favorite and remind of good things about my childhood. We also ahve three kinds of tomatoes, two kinds of beans, cucumbers, mint, sage, lavendar, sweet basil. dill and various other ground covering flowers. i added two new beds on either side of the main porch this year and the rosebush is currently flowering. The landlord is happy.
my tiger lilies are once again fierce and already 6 feet tall. dont fuck with witch's garden.
After my week of crazy homeness.. I was off for a week at my friend's in boston- taking care of her after her foot surgery. that went well; she actually let my take care of her.. big for her, I know-- everyone, even her SO- told me so, over and over. I took care of her garden too and hte house. it was actually nice to get to spent some siognificant time with her - even if the circumstances were not ideal.
home again now... my own chores to do... my own garden ottake care off... three more weeks and then back to teaching for the rest of the summer. I miss it already, however.
