Well My daughter just stunned me......... She jsut told me that she wants ME to move back home with Mommy. and for Mommys Boyfriend to go away. I stopped what I was doing and jsut gave her a big hug. I told her that Even tho Mommy and Daddy dont love each other any more we still LOVE HER and her Brother VERY much.
And that no matter WHAT that would NEVER change.
I then called my EX and told her what she had said. She told me that our daughter had said the SAME to her a few times. And that she had told her almose exactly what I had told our daughter. that no mater WHAT we would BOTH love her and her Brother.
hmmmmmm................I think I handeled this just right. didnt I?????

You handled it perfectly. My stepson said quite a few similar things for a very long time, it took him a while to understand what was going on. As long as the kid knows that it is not their fault, and that you guys do not hate each other, that is the only thing you can do for them.
