Another angry day for me. I was at work today, at a job where I only work one day a week, which generally totals out to about 5 hours a day. I've asked for more hours upon several occasions, and have indeed improved as a worker in general.
But they tell me that they cannot give me more hours because the company's biggest expense is the payroll. Which is what happens when you have 5 managers, 2 quality advisors, and some "red shirts", which are the bitches like me.
So the payroll is too big, which is why I can't have more hours. I make minumum wage and the highest paid person there is our GM, who only makes ten or eleven an hour. So they're cutting hours like crazy, and cutting corners everywhere else to knock down company costs. Which makes sense. But here's the kicker.
5 of us are in DIRE need of more hours. And I know that everyone woudl like to have more hours, but two weeks worth of work gave me a paycheck of 38.00. I NEED THESE HOURS!! Even if it's only one or two more days. They can't give them. Too expensive. So what are they doing? They're hiring more people.
That's right kiddies. More people. Probably five or six for the summer. Instead of giving those of us who need the hours, hour.
Obviously I am in the market for a second job, and if it works out to be better than the one that I'm at right now, I will quit. They have one month to give me three days a week, or I am leaving.
*sigh* My life is such crap right now. And please don't pity me, or tell me that it will all work out. I know that, and I don't want people to feel sorry for me for the things that are out of my control. I just..need money, hate school, and have to get a second job.
In the meanwhile, I am a freelance tattoo designer. Anyone want anything? I would love to design something for someone. It won't be free. But it won't be expensive either. *peddles her artistic ability for some cash* Please help me. I will love you forever if you let me design for you.
P.S. I doubt that very many people will see this at all, especially the ones who commented on my set cuz they like/know Texas, or were just browsing about and stumbled acrost it, but I want to thank everyone who was constructive. There were some dick comments too, and fuck those guys. You can have your opinion, and you can express it to me, believe me, I can take it. But don't be an ass about it. There is no need for you to be a complete cock to someone you don't even know. It's just unnecessary.
i'm sorry to say, but wherever yr working is screwing you guys over bad. i mean wtf, they have employees who want to get more hours, yet they wont give ya more hours. but instead, they're gonna hire more people, that makes absolutely no sense at all!
