Just got back from a trip to Baltimore, and I don't feel like working much today.
I've been non stop for like a week. My father got married last Saturday and had a black tie wedding. So I spent the WHOLE day on saturday doing that. Then i had to wake up at 6am on Sunday to go up to NYC to do Lion Dancing for the close of the lunar new year. So from about 8am til 6pm I was out in the cold running around Chinatown.
Then woke up at 7 on monday morning to drive down to Baltimore for 3 days. I had an all-day planning meeting on tuesday which actually started the night before over dinner. It was very very productive though so I'm feeling really good about the project we're starting.....even after the nonsense I had to deal with on wednesday where a hired consulting firm was not at all prepared to do the work they had to. Must call them this afternoon and inform them that I'm not paying for all the hours.....bleh, might get ugly.
While I was in Baltimore I found THE perfect person to fill the job I was interviewing for. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect person for the job. It's a damn good thing too, because the other 3 interviews were pretty damn sad and I didn't want to have to drive back down there next week for more interviews.
So now this weekend I have to start packing to move the following weekend. Moving about 15-20 minutes closer to work so that's kinda nice. In March I have to go on a 4 day trip to Las Vegas for a conference, then to Niagra falls (Canadian side) in April for our annual meeting....all on top of normal work + life + making sure the girlfriend doesnt feel neglected.
I have so much going on. It's all good stuff, but I feel like I will hardly be able to breathe until May.
