Awww, babe, I know how you feel. Especially with the single parent part ... and I have to assume that your ex isn't as big a loser as mine, so the single parent part really means only parent for all practical purposes and intents. How old is your child?

I have been forcing myself to go out, though. I'm an outgoing girl, but not when I don't know anyone ... so this is outside my comfort zone completely. But I do it because I know that if I continue to repeat this behavior, I will meet people. I have no expectations, I'm not really trying to meet men, per se, or lovers.

That is the greatest realization I had with the single thing. If I have sufficient friends and social activities, the sorrow about the dude evaporates. If I don't, however, then I sit home, lonely, feeling sorry for myself and wondering why no one likes me. And when you feel like that ... well, let's just say those aren't my most attractive moments, you know?

Try searching for SG members in your neighborhood and see if you can meet them at a show or for a beer or something. Once you meet people you can relate to, it's just a matter of time. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Alright, I just had 2 days off from work and I'm feeling great. I went and bought some new stuff for my apartment at Ikea ( yeah i know) but its cheap. Back at work now and still dont have a clue why it is that i can't seem to find that someone special!
