~I never knew a patient could deteriorate so fast. A 41yrd woman with COPD comes in and in a matter of minutes her Oxygen saturation goes from the mid 80s to the low 40s. Her heart rate falls from the 70s to the 20s.
she didn't make it.
It's still rough to watch a family enter a room where a loved one lies expired.
