A Random Memory of a Long Ago Breakup...

She was on top. We finally got each others cloths off, releasing all the built up post breakup tension that had been building up between us all day. This day, the first day we weren't together. The first day we we're "just friends" or at least trying to be. I was on my back, she straddled me as we were kissing in a frenzy. Then, a pause, stop, just looking at each other in silence as she sat up. So awkward. Not knowing what to say, blank looks on each other's faces. We had made love so many times, but not like this. This was not a farewell fuck or a friends with benefits thing. As my eyes watered and her eyes filled with tears, all that was on my mind was our hearts did not belong to each other's anymore. Is the last time we'll be like this? I had some faith we could get back together, some shards of faith in this love left back then.
