I did some more live art last week. Ended up selling 2 pieces, gifting 3, and getting drunk with everyone involved afterwards.

The collected works of the evening of the friend who helped me get this gig. Having her there and painting too pretty much made the night just us hanging out and painting while people brought us drinks. Fucking great.

I did a different version of this on the night, which ended up going home with my friend as a 'thank you for getting me this gig and being pretty much the awesome.'

The one on the left was sold to a girl who wanted it as a gift for her partner who DJs under the name DJ Miss Angelic. The one on the right I had mailed to my mother who turned 52 on thursday.

Various sells or title pages from a comic I've been working on.

Couldn't sell this one on account of not owning copyright of the Joker. It really weirds me out that every time I try to draw the Joker he ends up looking like me.

Last one is a collective effort from the two of us plus another artist and friend who had an exhibition opening inside.

The other that sold was a black and white silhouette I didn't think to get a photo of. The other two gifts where a similar image done with different colours. One to a friend of mine who turned up, and the other to the guy who organises the exhibitions inside. He offered to pay for it but I figured I'd give it away to make an impression. It's really daunting having people like that interested in my stuff.

This gig opened up a ton of opportunities too. I'm doing this again at different venues over the next month, then doing a collaborative exhibition in August, and doing some t-shirt designs. I don't expect to sleep very much over the next few months. Although it seems weird that I made it through a writing degree only to become an artist almost accidentally.

Life is awesome.
