It's a new year, and has been for a while now, apparently.
Thanks to Christmas, I have embarrassing amounts of alcohol in my apartment.
I'm enjoying the almost childlike buzz of learning something new.
I've resolved to finish a first draft of one project, get a second off the ground, and actually read everything on my bookshelf.
2009 is my first year out of uni, and almost everyone I've known to graduate from Creative Writing stopped writing almost immediately. This year is about not doing that.

Link to awards' info is here. It starts at 6:30pm so I think you'd have plenty of time to enjoy a good chunk of the party. You'll definitely get to see the awards ceremony itself, I think. There's other stuff on this weekend too! Let me know if you're keen. I'm definitely in and hoping to be a judge at the following year.
