Yesterday, after four years of study (some part time some full time) I handed in my final assignment. It weighed in at 151 pages. 55 creative work, 91 edits of other student's work, and the rest for title pages. I printed it the night before and set it all up nicely in a display folder, then cracked open a bottle of wine right then and there.
If I do any post grad stuff it'll be year after next. At the moment I'm thinking of doing a post grad visual arts degree then interdisciplinary honours in visual art and creative writing. But that'll take a good three years, and I'm not really prepared to study for 7 years straight. Especially after I went into uni straight out of high school.
Anyway, once the assignment was handed in I made one sensible purchase (a copy of the Australian Writer's Marketplace), then splurged. Bought myself a book, a comic, a game, a carton of Coronas, and a cheap dress.
