Help!
Music buff's wanted.
So a while ago I posted some character portraits that I'd done mostly for my own benefit so I hadn't worried too much about originality and such. Now my uni wants me to display something at Brisbane Writer's Festival and I offered these. I'm going to redraft them, but the last quote I never actually knew who said. It was on a music documentary and I knew I should know the speaker and why his opinion was important but just couldn't place him. So I just said Joey Ramone because it suited the character. I'd rather not just say Anon or Unknown because the first two use a quote from musician and a song lyric and I'd like to keep the theme going.
Anyway, the line is:
"Only the map that you draw for yourself can ever lead you home."
Anyone know something along the same sort of lines?
At the moment all I have is "If I hadn't assembled myself I'd have fallen apart by now." but I don't think that suits the character. Plus it's by Incubus, and I still haven't forgiven them for Morning View.
