Seems odd that a girl four years older than me would decide to tell me it's not working out via text message.

btw: people often say that girls mature faster than boys. it's not true. we are equally as retarded.

It depends how solid things were between you.
I'm 28 and had to tell a 37yo that it just wasn't going to work, and did so via text, but we'd only been on one date.
If she's not your girlfriend, I don't think there's any obligation to come over and sit you down and "have a chat".

As for losing the dreads... it's a tough decision to make. You look like you had yours for longer than I had mine. It's a very personal decision. Still, hair grows back, right? And apparently it'll make you look a lot younger. So I was told.
