I wasn't even considering the healthcare aspect, more the getting away from certain things that bug me about here.

A non Canadian shouldn't espouse on a medical system he really has no experience of.

Sure, extremely rare illnesses and injuries that affect maybe a dozen or so Canadian's out of 34 million are or have long waiting lists. Due to the fact that the doctors who perform such procedures are rare. Or more than likely lured away from Canada ( As they can charge far much more as specialists in the States, where their is 350 million of you. Who spend huge amounts of your paycheck on private HMO insurance policies, in comparison to us )

But the basic injuries and medical issues that most North American's face, are routinely dealt with here. Regardless of personal income, fairly and with expediency.

For that we face much higher federal taxation rates than you might. But, I as a person who makes 45,000 to 55,000 per year. I'm very happy that I get the same medical service as people who make more, and more importantly, those who make much less.

I don't fear leaving my job for a better one, tht might provide less coverage. Or working casually. And I don't sense a desperation amongst the working poor in Canada that I felt in the USA, while visiting and touring your country. We don't as a country has massive numbers of people who have lost their lives savings due to a workplace injury that wasn't covered by either a company policy or a federal one. Many of the people in your country have lost their homes, and their ability to work at their jobs due to such a factor.
