To those not on the up and up with Sassie and her current situation; She lost her job as an assistant manager due to the music store she was working at closing. The company is closing all outlet stores and keeping open mall locations.
Luckily she's getting two more paychecks, and she's signed up for unemployment compensation (or in the process). Hopefully a new job is on the horizon for her. One that she likes.
Since we have to save money, I was glad to hear that the "consumer relief" money is starting to be distributed. I read that we (Sassie and I) should have ours by the end of next week. Thank goodness for direct deposit... we already got our federal tax return money.
I just wish a majority of the money I'm getting wasn't going straight to my dad for the tires he spotted money for since I didn't have the $400+ for them. That and my cell phone... man... I'd rather get the new New Found Glory 7", and Murder By Death and Raconteurs LPs.
So this week is rock show week. It's also the death of me week. 3 days in a row, 3 shows in a row. Tomorrow is A Life Once Lost at the Champion Ship with Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravagance, Periphery (fuckin' sick) and Oh! The Tragedy. Also, my friends band Gun For Hire is playing. Lucky bastards.
Wednesday is I Am the Avalanche at the Ottobar is Baltimore with a bunch of bands I'm not to psyched about. I'm not even that psyched about I Am the Avalanche. Sassie really wants to see em though.
Thursday is definitely gonna be the highlight. Converge and The Red Chord at the Ottobar. I'd really like to have off, get a room down there for two days and spend time with my baby, but we can't afford it. It sucks. I'm just glad that we bought these tickets before we ran into financial troubles.
