Ok, I told you I was sick.
Got another session done on my tattoo today and almost passed out afterwards. I'd been unable to hold my arms in anything like a comfortable position whilst lying down and when I got up at the end it took all my will power to keep head, heart and bowel in check.
The stabbing with needles was no more or less than any other time but the pain/discomfort in my shoulders was intense. I even put off booking my session after next just so I could hit the street and get some fresh air.
One positive was that the journey home passed me by unnoticed in an hallucinated haze.

Mine's been about 2 years in the making and I'm really fucking bored with it. I don't think about it anymore. I've had loads of stuff done elsewhere inbetween the Mary sessions, but there's no way I'd have anything that detailed again. On the plus side, that particular piece doesn't cost me anything anymore cos I get it done for free, but it's something I now only go back to every two months or so. I had a lot of shit happen to the black about 18 months back, when it reacted in the sun - I had to put loads of stuff on that faded the ink and then basically had to start from scratch. In all honesty, I'm sorry I started it - it never gets seen, cost a hell of a lot initially, and has been a load of fucking about. Since then I stick to flash.
Yours is fantastic, and Mo shouldn't be charging you for it cos that's probably the piece that will make his name worldwide. He's going to put that right at the front of his folio, send it in to all sorts of magazines, and display it whenever he does an expo. He's right to, it's amazing.
