The next week should be interesting. As it stands, I will be fairly whipped by Saturday even if I don't go to a Friday night party I was invited to.
My boss called me at 2pm today to inform me that she was to be on a plane to Florida this evening. That puts me in charge...of everything. Have I ever been formally traied? Nope. "You're smart enough to figure it all out." she says. Maybe, but that doesn't mean I want to.
It wouldn't be bad except that it means a few 12 hour shifts. They kill the day, meaning I must put other tasks aside and make up for them with my happily awaited playtime. Regardless, I shall see the positive in this. I plan to chomp my way through The Illuminatus! Trilogy between "intimate-wear" customers. I imagine a hostile take-over of the store cd player is also in order. Ladies: imagine shopping for bras to the beautiful sounds of Gould's magical hands showing you how Bach's Goldberg Variations should always be played.
I'll be saving up cash for the Sg Toronto Prom. My intention is to stay in Toronto for a few days around when the big event is supposed to take place. It's been a decade since I've visited the homeland, and feel I should quiet the fires of my half-Canadian blood. Not to mention it will certainly be nice to get away for a spell. I think back to the days of my youthful insanity, a time when the sudden decision to hop a 13-hour bus to Chicago for no reason was perfectly acceptable in my eyes. Granted, I was always broke, but I was definitely a happier person then.
