The Michigan Photo Journey was a success. I'll put the pics up later...I'm tired at the moment. All in all, we hit our "list" of cities in 16 hours, and I learned that sitting behind the wheel that long while cracked out from no sleep the night before and chemical stimulants does not leave one feeling very fresh or clean.
Here's the list of cities we actually stopped at, as it changed during the journey.
Ann Arbor (to pick up our navigator)
Jackson (we found nothing of interest)
Parma (Velvet Touch, baby!)
Marshall (Histoooooric Marshall!)
Kalamazoo (antique shops rule)
Midville (in search of the Devil's Soup Bowl in a neighboring township, got lost in the woods. Nice.)
Holland (where we pissed off the keeper of the windmill)
Grand Rapids (sweet pizza, sweet city)
Lansing/East Lansing (where, like ninja's, we photographed the capitol building in the night)
Ended up a AcornPigTurtle's party feeling very, very tired by that point. It was fun to see everyone again, and you know it's a good time when people are switching underwear. Alas, I left early (sorry guys
) and crashed at a friend's dorm on campus with the other two guys who drove around with me all day. Sleep never felt so good. In fact, I'm gonna go do some more of it.
All in all, yesterday was an adventure well worth taking.
