Alrighty...lots of swamp to wade through.

I lost my job on Friday, and after a weekend of well-earn debauchery, I've spent the whole day hitting the employment market. I've got to clean a few things up for a drug test tomorrow, but that should take no time at all and about $8. The temp agency and a few places I applied to require a piss test, so whatever. Reagent tests are cheap and easy to beat, so I figure I could get it done in one shot simply to save time.

Aside from that, I have been exploring some old paths in my life that I'd forgotten about. You'd be hard pressed to find me with my nose in anything but a philosophy book lately, and a fresh new notebook at my side, basking, even, in the waft of a forgotten cigarette sitting in an ashtray. I'd almost forgotten how deep I sink into my own little world while reading, especially out in public. It's a wonderous thing, really, because I become a magnet for the curious.

I will also be moving soon as a result of general financial terribleness. We're staying in the area, but the stress over the last few months has been severe in my house, and things finally went sour.

After a lot of bad noise for me and my friends over the last month, I almost feel like I'm getting a fresh start out of the joblessness and switching houses. This is not a great thing, however it is not entirely bad either. I'm glad to step foot on some new ground soon, but I'm none too happy about feeling like I'm starting over at 27 years old.

But it's like I always say: keep moving

Voice and the Alexander Technique is the title of the book. it would probably be difficult to find, other than at amazon.com just because it is a pretty unusual topic, even for singers and voice teachers.

good lick with the job hunt...it's brutal out there! kiss wink
